Le piano stride ou Harlem stride est un style de piano jazz apparu à

Harlem dans les années 1920. Ce style tire ses bases du Ragtime, avec

beaucoup plus d'improvisation et est basé sur un rythme swing, un

genre assez difficile à maîtriser ... Matthieu Roffé en a fait sa

spécialité !


Matthieu Roffé is back for the Live Nights at the Piano Bar. He will

be accompanied by French saxophonist Gregory Sallet, from Lyon, for an

exclusive stride-swing evening!

Our duo will pay tribute to Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, Erroll Garner

and many other jazz artists.

Did you know?

The piano stride or Harlem stride is a style of piano jazz that

appeared in Harlem in the 1920s. This style is based on Ragtime, with

much more improvisation and is based on a swing rhythm, a genre that

is quite difficult to master... Matthieu Roffé has made it his
